Sept 2020: Security Concerns

Sept 2020: Security Concerns 2500 1313 IT-X Managed Services

I want to address 2 security concerns you should be aware of:

  • Covid Contact Tracing Scam – important!

  • Password Changes

  1. Covid Contact Tracing Scam. A scam that is growing like crazy is the fake Covid Contact Tracing scam. It can either be a phone call or a text claiming you have been in contact with an infected person. The DEAD GIVAWAY, is they will ask for payment information or a credit card number, at some point. That is how you know it is a SCAM. Beware!
More info on the Covid Contact Tracing scam can be found on the FCC website: https://www.fcc.gov/fear-fuels-covid-19-contact-tracing-scams
  2. Password Changes. During the next round of Semiannual Workstation Inspections, we will be changing user password (if you have not already done it this year). Just a reminder, since I know everyone just LOVES doing that… Keep the following chart in mind. 😉
